For the most part it was right on. There were a few inaccuracies (dairy for weight loss, soy is fattening etc) but overall I think the nutritional information was spot on and a welcome relief to a lot of the rubbish you find in many diet and weight loss books.

Mike Geary knows his stuff when it comes to developing a pair of six packs in the shortest time possible using a few simple and effective routines. While I think the Truth About Abs strength is the exercise and fitness section it also points to a weakness. While the Truth About Abs has a simple meal plan outline, there are no recipes for you to follow his plan in a straight forward way at home. So while the information is sound, Mike leaves it up to you as far as implementing his dietary information.

The author has advised readers to take small meal portions every three hours, and has deviated from the usual breakfast, lunch and dinner norm. Geary has stressed upon the reality that flat abs are not something one can achieve overnight; this may be the reason why his book is so popular around the globe.
